Dear Tele’ers around the World:
InterTele is an organization that unites telemark instructors and trainers from around the world to share best ideas for technique, teaching and promotion of the sport. We help in growing telemark and improving instruction globally by connecting telemark associations and instructors all over the world.
Recent conversations with Panorama Resort in British Columbia, Canada and CANSI, the Canadian Association of Nordic Ski Instructors, have brought us to this moment.
We are proud to announce the dates of April 7-11, 2021 at Panorama Resort, when all telemark instructors are invited to meet in Panorama Resort, BC, Canada for InterTele 2021.
Here’s what you can expect:
- A world-class event, at a world-class resort, with world-class terrain
- Sharing ideas with some of the thought leaders in Tele instruction from around the world
- An opportunity to share your association’s or country’s teaching or technical approach/philosophy
- A great networking event, leading to some lasting connections
- More news in the months ahead about registration, travel, schedule of events, applying to present indoors or on snow
- Regular updates to the www.InterTele.org website and our Facebook page, facebook.com/InterTeleski.
For now, please SAVE THE DATES, apply to your country’s instructor association for funding and/or endorsement (not required, but it can help Tele get some recognition with your instructor association), and stay tuned for updates and registration information.
CAVEAT: With the outbreak of Covid-19, and recent openings against a backdrop of many regions still in ‘Shelter in Place’ guidelines, this announcement is tentative, with two options/contingencies:
- Event organizers have set a decision date of early November, 2020, to re-assess, and determine if hosting the event in April of 2021 is prudent.
- If not, the event will be re-scheduled for April of 2022.
